Cystagon Storage Instructions

• Store this medication at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.
• Do not store in the bathroom.
• Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children.

What To Do In Case Of Missed Dose

• Try to take each dose at the scheduled time.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is within 2 hours of the next dose.
• Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
• Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

• This medication is used to prevent kidney damage and other problems in persons with cystinosis, a hereditary metabolic disorder.

Usage Instructions

• Take this medication by mouth exactly as prescribed usually 4 doses a day.

• Take this medication with food or just after a meal to reduce stomach upset.
• For children, open the capsules and sprinkle the contents onto soft food such as applesauce or mashed potatoes just prior to eating.
