General Information

• HOW TO USE: For best effect, this medication must be used routinely as directed. Continue using it for the full time prescribed. Stopping this medication too soon may not clear the infection and could possibly result in a reinfection. To apply ointment, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the tip of the tube to your hand or eye. Warm the tube in your hand before using. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place tip of tube directly over the pouch and apply the prescribed amount of ointment. Blink gently. Do not rinse the tip of the tube. Use a clean tissue to wipe any excess from your eye and from the tip of the tube after using. If you are also using drops, be sure to instill the drops at least 5 minutes prior to the ointment. If you are using another kind of ointment, wait at least ten minutes before applying it to the eye. Do not wear contact lenses while using this product.
