- This medication is used to treat a migraine attack.
- It is not effective in preventing migraines or reducing their occurrence.

Medicinal Applications
- This medication is used to treat attacks of migraine headaches once they occur.
- Relief of symptoms may be noted as early as ten minutes and usually within one hour.
- It is not effective in preventing migraines.
- This medication is not to be used for other types of headaches.
Usage Instructions
- This medication is given by injection just under the skin.
- It should be given as soon as possible when symptoms of a migraine appear.
- If the first dose does not relieve the headache, use no more of this medication for the same attack.
- If however, another attack occurs later, a second injection may be used if 1 hour has elapsed since the first dose.
- Do not use more than 2 injections in a 24 hour period.
- Use this medication as directed.
- Do not increase your dose or use this more frequently than prescribed.
- The auto-injector enables this medication to be self-injected.
- Your doctor or pharmacist can show you how to properly load the injector and administer the medication.
- Make sure you understand the correct technique for injection and how to properly dispose of needles, syringes and the medication.
- Be sure to ask any questions you may have.
Overdose
- If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
- Symptoms of overdose may include tremor, chest pain, slowed breathing, and seizures.
