What To Do In Case Of Missed Dose
- If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered unless it is almost time for the next dose.
- Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
- Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
Usage Instructions
- This medication is meant to be dissolved in the mouth.
- Do not swallow it.
- The usual dosing is one lozenge (troche) 5 times daily for no more than 14 days unless your doctor instructs you otherwise.
- When used to prevent infections, the usual dose is one lozenge three times daily until your doctor tells you to stop using it.
- Continue to use this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days.
- Stopping the medication too early may allow the infection to continue, resulting in a return of the infection.
Mycelex Storage Instructions
- Store at room temperature below 86 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from heat and moisture.
