What To Do In Case Of Missed Dose

  • If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered unless it is almost time for the next dose.
  • Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
  • Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

Usage Instructions

  • This medication is meant to be dissolved in the mouth.
  • Do not swallow it.
  • The usual dosing is one lozenge (troche) 5 times daily for no more than 14 days unless your doctor instructs you otherwise.
  • When used to prevent infections, the usual dose is one lozenge three times daily until your doctor tells you to stop using it.
  • Continue to use this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days.
  • Stopping the medication too early may allow the infection to continue, resulting in a return of the infection.

Mycelex Storage Instructions

  • Store at room temperature below 86 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from heat and moisture.
  • Do not store in the bathroom.
