Mydriacyl Storage Instructions

  • Close the container tightly after each use.
  • Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.

  • Discard this if the solution turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.

Possible Side Effects

  • This medication may temporarily sting or burn your eye for a minute when first applied.
  • If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor.
  • Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable for a few minutes after applying eye drops.
  • Because this medication dilates the eye, your eyes will be sensitive to light.
  • Wear sun glasses and avoid bright lights until the effect is over.
  • Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision.

  • This medication is used to dilate the eye for eye exams, or to treat certain eye conditions.

Usage Instructions

  • This medication is for use in the eye.
  • One or two drops are placed in the eye(s) 15 minutes or so prior to examination.
  • Additional drops may be necessary to achieve the desired effect for an eye examination.
  • When used to treat eye conditions, use as directed by your prescriber for the full course of treatment.
  • After application of the drops, apply pressure to the side of the nose where the tear duct is with your finger for 1 to 3 minutes to prevent absorption into the body.
