General Information

  • HOW TO USE: Take each dose with a full glass of water or juice and drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
  • USES: This medication is used for the short-term treatment of constipation.


Overdose

  • If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
  • Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums and eyes.

Senalax Ss Miscellaneous Notes

  • To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to 6 eight ounce glasses a day), increase your intake of fiber and roughage and exercise regularly.

What To Do In Case Of Missed Dose

  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
  • Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
