Medicinal Applications
- This medication is an anesthetic which numbs the area it has been applied to.
- This spray is used in the mouth to numb the mouth or throat.
Xylocaine Storage Instructions
- Store spray at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and open flames.
- Because the contents of the canister are under pressure, do not puncture or burn this.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Xylocaine Miscellaneous Notes
- It takes only 1 to 2 minutes for the numbing effect of this medication to occur and it lasts for 10 to 15 minutes.

- Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take.
- Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Usage Instructions
- This medication is sprayed in the mouth as directed.
- To use, shake the container gently.
- Open your mouth wide and point the spray nozzle at the site to be numbed.
- Depress the nozzle to spray the medication.
- This medication is for use on the mouth surface.
- Do not swallow or inhale this.
- Avoid spraying near eyes.
- Avoid eating or chewing gum for at least 1 hour after use.
- The risk of choking or biting the tongue or cheek is greater when the mouth, tongue or throat are numb.

- Minor burning or stinging may occur upon application.
- If this persists or the area becomes red or swollen, inform your doctor.
