Zithromax Miscellaneous Notes

Zithromax Storage Instructions

  • Store between 40 and 86 degrees F (5 - 30 degrees C).
  • Keep away from sun and moisture.

What To Do In Case Of Missed Dose

  • This medication is to be used as a onetime dose.

Possible Side Effects

  • This medication may cause stomach upset, loose stools, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps or vaginal irritation.
  • If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your doctor promptly.
  • Notify your doctor if you develop.

Medicinal Applications

  • This dose form of azithromycin is used as a single dose treatment for certain infections, including genital infections.

Usage Instructions

  • Mix the contents of the packet in 2 ounces of water (60ml).
  • Drink this immediately.
  • Add another 2 ounces of water, mix and drink the entire amount.
  • This dose form of azithromycin may be taken with or without food.
  • Do not take antacids and this medication at the same time, as antacids may interfere with absorption of azithromycin.
  • Take antacids at least two hours after taking azithromycin.

  • Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
