Usage Instructions
- Take by mouth exactly as directed, usually three times a day with or without food.
- Delavirdine 200 mg tablets cannot be dissolved in a glass of water before swallowing, unlike the 100 mg tablets.
- Swallow these tablets whole.
- If taking didanosine or antacids, take them one hour apart from this drug.
- For anyone with lack of stomach acid (achlorhydria), take this drug with an acidic beverage (for example, orange or cranberry juice).

Warning
- Didanosine-delavirdine combination treatment is not recommended because delavirdine did not add to the benefit of didanosine in a clinical test.
- The HIV virus quickly develops resistance when delavirdine is used alone.
- Therefore, delavirdine must always be used with other proven combinations of anti-HIV medications.

- If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
